January 2008 - CellzDirect becomes a part of Invitrogen Corporation's Cell Systems Business Unit.
January 2008 - CellzDirect
moves its headquarters to new corporate offices, new cell culture laboratories, and enhanced scientific and operational support facilities in Durham, NC, several minutes from the RDU airport.
September 2007 – CellzDirect signs exclusive distribution agreement with GenoMembrane in which CellzDirect will market GenoMembrane Transporter Products to the US and Canada.
August 2007 – CellzDirect signs exclusive distribution agreement with Daiichi Pure Chemicals Co. to provide CellzDirect products to the Japanese market.
February 2007 – CellzDirect completes expansion of Austin based in vitro services laboratory, more than doubling capacity.
March 2006 – CellzDirect signs exclusive long-term contract with Dr. Albert Li and APS, Inc in Baltimore, MD to become satellite hepatocyte production partner, focused primarily on producing cryopreserved human hepatocytes.
October 2005 – CellzDirect expands NC laboratory, creating greater hepatocyte production capabilities.
June 2005 – Dr. Edward LeCluyse becomes full-time Chief Scientific Officer of CellzDirect after an eight year tenure as a professor at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy.
February 2004 – CellzDirect acquires Hepatotech, Inc in NC, a hepatic cell products company founded by Dr. Edward LeCluyse.
October 2003 – CellzDirect acquires the in vitro metabolism division of CEDRA Corporation in Austin, TX.
September 2002 – CellzDirect hires Scott Edelman as CEO to re-launch with in vitro hepatic focus.
January 2000 – launched web-based CellzDirect Inc. – Tucson, AZ.
